This is the nearest rival resort. It is at Haws Bank on the southern tip of Coniston. As you can see, it has a novel half stone, half wood construction. The sleeping capacity must be down to one, or two at the most. It does however, come close with its transport links, waste disposal and communications. As far as Sport is concerned, it is strictly "five-a-side".

Skelwith Bridge is situated about 4 miles north of Coniston. As you can see, the pitch is mainly turf, although synthetic materials have been used for penalty taking. It is also worth noting that there are no "en-suite" facilities. I trust the designers assumed the long grass would be used.
